My favorite season is here and I hope you are enjoying the summer as much as I am. I am taking advantage of the season to dedicate my time and energy to all the things I love, to my favorite pastimes and discovering some new ones.  I recently went on my first camping trip and was so excited about this new experience… However, as I shared my excitement with friends and family about my upcoming trip, I kept getting the same reaction: “but what about the bugs and mosquitoes”?  I mean, spending time in nature surrounded by wildlife and looking up at the starry sky by a campfire all sounded magical to me, but the reactions I was getting made me feel like if I was going to enjoy this experience, I had to be prepared.  Of course, if I was to prepare, I had to do it the natural way.  And I am glad I did! I came home from a three-day camping trip with no more than three minor mosquito bites!  Here are my favorite tips and tricks to help keep mosquitoes at bay.

-10 drops of lemon essential oil

-10 drops of eucalyptus essential oil

-2 tbs of vegetable oil

Mix & add to you unscented moisturizer and apply on your skin.

-10 drops of lavender essential oil

-10 drops of citronella essential oil

-10 drops of peppermint essential oil

– 1/4 of a cup of apple cider vinegar or water

Put in a spray bottle and spritz away!

Add two pellets of each to your bottle of water and sip every 2 to 3 hours.
