With the holiday season here, many will be partaking in the festivities and overindulging in food and alcohol. Though it may seem like a great idea at the time, the after effects can sometimes leave us wishing we hadn’t overdone it quite so much. Here are a few tips to help alleviate some the most common symptoms.

To alleviate a pounding headache:
Grapefruit:
This fruit helps detoxify the liver and thus soothe the symptoms of a hangover
Drinking grapefruit juice
Dilute a few drops of grapefruit essential oil in a carrier oil and use to massage your temples and forehead.

Hangover Essential Oil bath:
Add 4 drops of lemon, 2 drops of fennel 2 drops of lavender to a warm bath and relax here for a few minutes and enjoy the beneficial properties of this soothing aroma.

Homeopathy:
The homeopathic remedy Nux vomica is commonly used to help soothe the symptoms brought on by overindulgence of food or alcohol. You can find Nux Vomica in a 30ch dilution at any health food store.
And remember to drink plenty of water to help flush out the toxins!
